Idaho bred Wylie met native Houstonian Stacia on a classic humid Houston afternoon when the groom tried to impress the bride with his knowledge of Tex-Mex, stating he knew the best Tex-Mex in the city! From there the two quickly became inseparable, bonding over sports, love of family, and their shared faith.

On a trip to Colorado, Wylie popped the question surrounded by the stunning Garden of the Gods. Wylie says he knew Stacia was "the one" three months into dating and quickly began dropping hints that he had family connections to a Houston based jeweler. In a twist of fate, it just so happened that Stacia went to the same small Catholic high school as the jeweler (Stephen Ventura of Creations Fine Jewelry). As Stacia's mom always says, "Houston is the biggest hometown you'll ever know!”

The couple got married at All Saints Catholic Church in Houston-Heights. Following the ceremony the reception was held at the Junior League of Houston where Stacia has been a member since graduating from college. Years ago, when she took her family to the league for a Mother’s Day brunch, her father commented that it was the perfect place for a wedding reception- and so it was!

The reception was full of fun, laughter and a whole lot of dancing! After a special father and daughter dance everyone was invited to join the dance floor. To everyone’s delight Stacia and her friends performed a choreographed dance to ABBA's Dancing Queen.

After the festivities and celebrations Stacia and Wylie jetted off to enjoy a romantic and relaxing honeymoon in Hammock Cove in Antigua.

With a nod to Stacia's time spent living in Perth, Australia as a young girl she chose her gown from Essense of Australia which she purchased at Whittington Bridal in Kingwood.

It was always Stacia’s dream to choose her cake from Who Made the Cake on Shepherd Drive, as she remembers driving by the shop all throughout high school swooning over the stunning creations in the window. “Nadine absolutely understood the assignment,” says Stacia,” creating Stacia's dream 5-tiered cake with beaded lattice work, and also an extravagant Boise State University football field groom's cake.

To capture the special moments of the day they chose Libby Dollar Photography, the stationery was by the extremely talented Mesh by Alex, and the gorgeous flowers were prepared by Memorial's Simply Beautiful Flowers & Events.

Advice for brides to be: “A little bit of extra planning goes a long way! Remember the saying, "p to the seventh: Prior Proper Planning Prevents Pitifully Poor Performance!”
